The time of year is fast approaching when most people will plan and book their family holiday. Whether it’s enjoying Spanish beaches or an adventure somewhere a little further afield, taking an annual break offers time to relax, kick back and recharge your batteries.

Perhaps one of many convenient things about living in the UK is the ease with which you can use your vehicle and cross the Channel by ferry or tunnel to reach new destinations with fantastic food, culture and climate. Travelling by car allows you to travel at your own pace and to write your own schedule.

Travel and health insurance are often high on our holiday check list. Very few people are prepared to gamble with their family’s security when holidaying outside the UK, but taking the family car abroad can also present a risk. If you break down in an unfamiliar place, how do you get back on the road quickly and safely?

Many people will have taken advantage of MoneySupermarket breakdown cover for driving in the UK, but it is vital that appropriate breakdown cover is in place when motoring elsewhere in Europe too.

In today’s tough economic climate, shopping around for the best deal has become second nature to most of us. It is especially important to find products we want at the best possible price and European breakdown cover is no exception to this rule.

As with other insurance policies, a wide range of products exist. Before choosing a policy, consider one or two important points besides the price. Some policies may not cover all European countries, so make sure that your chosen product has adequate protection for your destination. If you plan to travel in a motor home or light commercial vehicle instead of a car, check that cover extends to these types of vehicles.

European Motoring Laws

When you have arranged adequate European breakdown cover, familiarise yourself with the motoring laws of your intended destination. It is often compulsory to carry certain safety basics with you, such as a warning triangle and high-visibility vest. Common sense should tell you to carry a map, a first-aid kit, spare bulbs and so on.

Keep your mobile phone fully charged and invest in an in-car charger. This will allow you to call for help should you get into trouble. Be warned, however, that using a mobile phone while driving is illegal in many countries besides the UK. Pull over when it is safe to do so and make your call, or ask one of your passengers to make the call on your behalf.

With all of these measures in place, your trip should be a relaxed and enjoyable one.

Stressed out? You’re not alone. Need a break? You’re not alone. Ready to get away? Well, you get the idea. You’re acutlaly in pretty good company. Going out to get plenty of rest and relaxation in the holiday months is always a good idea.

If you’re looking for a classic destination that pleases even the pickiest of celebrities, you really can’t go wrong with Lake Como. This lake is in the Como province of Lombardy, Northern Italy.

Visitors have been going to the Lake for over 100 years, and there’s plenty of fresh air, water, mountains, and sunny beautiful weather.

There’s a lot of different cities in this area, so you want to look a little close and figure out where you’re going to want to stay. Costs really vary depending on where you stay during your time around the lake.

Como is the main town, and it’s going to be the place to find plenty of great resort living. The town is well maintained, so you will get some rest and relaxation here without any problem. However, this is not the most attractive of all of the towns around the lake, so if you want to move on there’s no problem.

If you really want to check out great gardens, you can’t go wrong with Tremezzo. This is a gorgeous little town that’s right across from Bellagio. Yes, the name of a famous Las Vegas casino has its roots here!

Personally? We really like Menaggio, which is the top town on the western side of the lake. If you really want to have a nice holiday without getting too tourist about it, then Menaggio is definitely your town. It gets busy here and there, but it’s also got a nice pedestrian only section that is stacked with coffee shops and gelaterias. Gelato is really one of the best things about Italy, so why not check it out for yourself?

There’s plenty of Wi-Fi access around, so you’re not going to have to worry about not being able to check the things that matter to you. In addition, you also have some transportation options. There’s really no need to rent a car, and it can actually be more dangerous to rent the car and drive. Accidents have been known to happen, and the roads can be very steep as well as some tight turns. There are plenty of train services as well as buses and even boat service. If you want to rent a boat to explore the lake, then this is something you can do without having to spend a lot of money. it’s just up to you what direction you honestly take.

What about all of the things to do in the Lake Como area while on holiday? Glad you asked!

First and foremost, you have to take at least one boat trip. This is a great way to see all of the towns. Package holidays will usually have one resort town over another, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t get a chance to check out all of the other ones to make sure that you’re really getting the full experience.

The funiculare is a hillside trolley, which will allow you to see some amazing views at the top of the hill. You can also hike over to the Volta Lighthouse where you really can see the best that Como has to offer.

Golf and tennis are wildly popular, so if you’ve always wanted to work on your golf swing or your tennis slice, you can definitely do that.

Hikers and long distance walkers are in for a treat, because there are plenty of marked out routes to take in the area. You aren’t going to have to worry about getting lost. By the same token, if you can hike then you can also camp freely. Sometimes that’s what it takes to fully unplug from the stress of life, but it’s completely up to you!

Gelato is both a dessert and a snack in this region, and you really can’t say that you’ve toured the Como area until you’ve gotten to have real gelato at least once. Even if you’ve been to an Italian gelato shop at home, it’s nothing like the real thing!

Want to take a short flight over the lake? There are flights that let you board seaplanes for a true aerial view of everything the lake has to offer.

Of course, we really haven’t even covered the food! You’ll find classic Northern Italian fare, and there are true pizzerias everywhere you look.

As far as drinks go, you’ll find at least one bar available, but if you’re really going to go for the wine, you have to make it out to Bellagio. This is Italy, so great wine is just assumed by default — and you will have plenty to choose from. of course, you do get what you pay for, so make sure that you work this into your budget as much as you can.

Sleeping arrangements aren’t too terrible — you have mid-range as well as some very nice luxury resorts available to you. This is not really a budget area, so if you’re looking for a holiday destination that will truly let you splurge, this would be the place to check out first.

Overall, we really can’t say enough about Lake Como. It’s truly a great area that has a lot to offer, and a lot to explore! Make sure that you book your holiday in advance so you don’t get eaten up by the big crowds!

If you’re thinking about stepping out onto the world stage and exploring the best hat the world has to offer, you’re in great company! A lot of people are really interested in trying to have a really good time and going outside your comfort zone is the perfect way to do it. If you have always wanted to make sure that you get plenty of time to enjoy the best that life has to offer, you definitely want to go on holiday outside of your home area.

So our recommendation today would have to be none other than Madrid. This is the capital of Spain, and is a classic destination that holiday travelers have enjoyed for many years now. With nearly 3.3 million residents calling Madrid home, it’s no secret that there’s plenty of things to see and do in the city of Madrid. Are you ready for a little adventure? Read on, we give you the whole scoop here!

So, where is Madrid located, actually? It’s the capital of Spain, but it’s located in the middle of the Iberian Peninsula, on a plateau. The altitude is about 650m, which means that you’re going to be up above sea level.

The weather tends to be a bit extreme from time to time, but the residents of Madrid have grown used to that. The climate can be classified as continental, with hot and dry summers along with cold winters. Snow isn’t completely out of the question, but it doesn’t happen a lot. Spring and autumn are usually the best times to go — April, May, June as well as September and October. July and August tend to be too hot to really go, but you’ll still have a good time even if you travel during that time of year.

What about the cultural history of Madrid? Well, it’s definitely rich with the keys and notes of royalty. Madrid was the seat of the Spanish Empire, and it definitely still shows in some of the cultural sights and sounds. There is the Royal Palace there, along with plenty of buildings that were used heavily by the Spanish monarchy. There are also plenty of cathedrals, a living testament to the history of the Catholic faith.

However, for all of this history, there are plenty of modern touches to Madrid as well. You can find restaurants, bakeries, shops, and everything else. You can always find a vibrant party going on in the city, and despite appearances, the city is well known for being highly tolerant of gay visitors and residents alike.

The actual citizens of Madrid refer to themselves as Madrilenos, and they tend to be pretty laid back. During the summer you can see people taking siestas where no work is done. Bigger stores tend to run more by Western standards of business hours, staying open all day. The long breaks are usually done only on weekends and holidays.

There are many interesting neighborhoods to see when it comes to Madrid. Of course, this is not the only European city that’s divided into multiple “zones” or neighborhoods. We recommend a few neighborhoods to check out first.

If you’re looking for parties and adventures as a younger person, you’re going to enjoy the neighborhood of Alonso Martinez. There are tons of pubs and little discos, and many of them stay open until 3am.

If you are older and you really want a more “modern” adventure, there’s always the neighborhood of Barrio de las Letras. There are tons of interesting buildings along with some more bars, pubs, restaurants and even some hotels to stay. If you need an excuse to pull out your camera, there’s the Plaza de Santa Ana, which is a gorgeous square. The locals find it a little too overdeveloped and much more “tourist” than they would like, but it does bear a visit in our opinion.

Chueca is a neighborhood that is a magnet for gay travelers, even though it’s welcoming to everyone. There are plenty of new designs, cool shops, and cozy cafes that you can nip into. It’s pricey, but it’s well worth the visit if you really want a touch of luxury in your holiday.

If you really want to sample the best of the region, you will find the neighborhood of La Latina. There are great tapas restaurants where chefs cook up some truly innovative treats for your evening. There are more bars and pubs, which is a theme of Madrid. There are plenty of bars in Madrid.

If you’re looking for more of a budget experience, you will enjoy Ciudad Universitaria, which is where the students live.

On the other hand, there are plenty of luxury areas to check out as well. Salamanca is home to tons of expensive boutiques with unique shops to check out as well as department stores. You’ll also love Torre Europa. Even though a lot of locals find it too expensive, the truth is that there really is something for everyone. Besides, what dollar amount can you really put on making memories?

You don’t have to rent a car in order to enjoy a holiday in Madrid. Public transit is everywhere — subways, buses, trains, a bus system as well as taxi cabs.

Speaking a few words of Spanish will help you get around Madrid a lot better, but it’s not required. The younger generation is learning English rapidly, but the population at large tends to prefer Spanish. If you’re in a heavily tourist trafficked area, you’ll find plenty of English spoken and understood there.

So, what about all of those places to see? Let’s go over that.

You can’t talk about Madrid without covering the Puerta del Sol, which is the heart of Madrid. It’s also super busy — you don’t want to try navigating the plaza with a car. The traffic will just end up irritating you. You will find the hub for the local transit system here as well. This is where most of the locals meet, and this is where many of the festivals will be hosted if you come during a time where everyone is feeling festive (which is virtually all the time!)

There’s also the Plaza Mayor, a square that has truly played host to bullfights, markets, and even symphonies. Today it’s a zone for tourist shops, cafes, and restaurants. There’s a gorgeous statue of Phillip III.

There’s also the Mercado de San Miguel, which is a huge indoor market. You will see plenty of fresh food and meats, amazing produce and plenty of handmade items.

Cap your trip with the Palacio Real — the Royal Palace itself. It is technically the official residence of the King of Spain, but the royal family doesn’t reside there year round. It’s merely used for state ceremonies.

Guided tours are available, but many people like to navigate the palace on their own. Unfortunately, there’s no photography allowed.

There are also too many museums to mention — like the Museo del Prado, which houses tons and tons of amazing artwork and sculptures.

If culture is what you’re after, there are tons and tons of flamenco shows to check out. This is truly one of the most recognized cultural dances of Spain, and there’s nothing like being able to see it up close.

Of course, you might be tired after a day of drinking in all of these sights and sounds — why not get something to eat?

There are lots of classic dishes. Keep in mind that Madrid is an area that relies a lot on offal along with regular and more “familiar” muscle meats. Just about every part of the animal is used in this region, and the residents truly relish just about all of it.

Seafood is brought in from the coast, but it is very expensive. Still, some tourists like to check out all of the cuisine, including the pricier sets.

Madrid is a very large city, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities for accommodations. It doesn’t need to be something expensive if you don’t have the budget for it. You will find modest hotels as well as expensive ones. It’s merely what you want to actually spend money on that will determine your choices.

There are plenty of opportunities to have a good time in Madrid. We’ve tried to cover everything there is to see and do in the city but you have to realize that there is truly too much to actually cover in a single guide. With so many nonstop flights to Madrid, there’s only one way to figure out everything that has to do with the city — check it out for yourself!

The hardest part about traveling isn’t figuring out where to go — it’s figuring out where you haven’t gone! Once you get into the spirit of travel, you might find that you really want to go somewhere that you haven’t gone. Sure, there’s a lot of fuss to be made about the “classic” destinations of Rome, Paris, Berlin, Prague, and Athens, but what about if you just want to go somewhere a little different?

Now is the time to check out Montevideo, which is actually the capital of Uruguay. This isn’t a country that a lot of people talk about, but it’s a nice destination for those looking for something that’s just a little bit different, a little bit more interesting, a little bit more fun and wild. Why would you want to put yourself in a position where you’re always doing the same holiday trip year after year after year? There’s a time where you just need to break out and check out something a little different than what you’ve been doing. Of course, if the repetitive nature of your travel plan is working for you, then that’s just fine too. We’re not here to judge, you know

So, what’s waiting for you in Montevideo? Quite a bit!

The best way to experience Montevideo is going to be with a car hire. Good car rental takes place away from the airport and the ferry, where the rates can be nearly three times as much from the same company for the same type of car. You’re better off taking a taxi to a far-flung office to pick up your car, to save yourself the money.

One of your first stops has to be to see Ciudad Vieja — it’s basically the old historical part of the town. Lots of history, old buildings, and culture to be had here.

18 de Julio Ave would be the main commercial runway of the city, where all of the shops are going to be located. We don’t know about you, but there’s nothing like shopping in another country to really get you excited. Yahoo!

Montevideo is also a city of monuments, which means that you can find plenty of things to catch your eye. The Palacio Salvo building is huge, and it takes up a lot of skyline space in the city. It’s no longer South America’s largest building, but it’s still pretty darn big if you ask us!

The National History Museum is big as well, and it’s free to get in. It displays some of the most important historical events of the country, and is spread between five historic homes.

There is also a lot of attention paid to the honoring of all cultures and orientations and backgrounds. There is even a sexual diversity monument erected for this purpose — how cool is that?

Bike riding, fishing, drinking mate and looking at all of the sights and sounds of Montevideo is usually always in season. You will want to make sure that you look up the weather before you take off — if it’s a little chilly, plan accordingly. However, the tropical climate means that yore not really going to have to worry about the bitter cold too terribly much.

How can we even think about talking all things Montevideo without talking about the food? Let’s start with meat — there is plenty of it, but don’t think that it’s all about meat if you’re a vegetarian. You will find plenty of vegetarian dishes, including some that you can just ask to leave the meat off.

If meat is on the menu for you, you can’t go wrong with a good chivito. This is the local sandwich that is nothing but meat and vegetables piled high on a plate. You can get it without the bread as well, and just eat it with a fork and knife.

Milanesa is a meat dish that includes a thin slice of veal, chicken, or even beef. Each thin little slice is dipped into beaten eggs and seasonings, and then dipped again into breadcrumbs. It’s done in oil, one slice at a time. It can even come with a fried egg.

There’s fresh pasta everywhere, and plenty of gnocchi to go around as well. Desserts are also plentiful, but hey — holiday calories don’t count, right?

Overall, this is definitely a city that’s worth visiting. If you’re into checking out things that aren’t always covered in Travel Destinations 101, you really owe it to yourself to check out Montevideo!

If you are planning a break to Amsterdam on a budget and have managed to find a room in one of the cheap Amsterdam hotels, you may be on the lookout for some low-cost eateries.

Here are just a few suggestions of the top restaurants and cafes in the city offering travellers a bite to eat on a budget!

Broodje Bert

Sightseeing can be hungry work, but if you don’t have time to stop for a sit-down meal, why not pick up a sandwich from Broodje Bert at Singel 321? Offering unbeatable value and a variety of delicious snacks, you’re bound to find something that appeals on the menu. Along with a host of sandwiches – including the Broodje Bert filled with lamb meatballs and salad – omelettes and salads are also available.

Singel 404

Another sandwich bar worth a visit is Singel 404, with canal-side tables available when the sun is shining. You can pick up a bite to eat here from around €5 (£4.12), so you certainly won’t break the bank. With a variety of hearty sandwich fillings on the menu, you should be able to choose a snack that will fill you up until dinnertime!

Albert Cuyp Market

If you want to have an authentic Dutch experience, head to the Albert Cuyp Market on the street of the same name. Open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday, here you will find over 250 stalls selling all manner of goods, including tasty morsels. Pick up one of the fresh street snacks to munch as you wander around.

Buffet van Odette

This is a good place for a leisurely lunch, with its canal-side location on Prinsengracht providing a great setting. Soup, salad, quiche and pasta are among the meals on offer, with dishes priced between €5.50 and €12.50.

Burger Meester

Whether you are looking for a lunch or dinner venue, Burger Meester could tick all your boxes. With basic burgers starting from €6.50 and mini versions on offer at roughly half-price for children or a small bite to eat, you’ll be able to find a satisfying meal. You can add extra toppings for a minimal cost and salads are also on the menu. There are four of these restaurants in Amsterdam, including one on Albert Cuyp Street and another on Elandsgracht.

The Pancake Bakery

For a quirky meal, head to Prinsengracht and seek out the Pancake Bakery, which has been cooking up a storm in Amsterdam since 1980. There is a staggering range of pancakes on the menu, some with an international flavour – like the Egyptian, which is stuffed with slices of lamb, paprika, garlic sauce and salad.

Sawaddee Ka

For an international meal out, try Sawaddee Ka on Overtoom, which offers a host of Thai dishes at affordable prices. Vegetarian mains start from €9.50, with all the dinners served with a side of rice.

Golden Temple

Another place with a Far-Eastern feel is the Golden Temple on Utrechtse Street, which serves up tantalising Indian dishes, freshly prepared by Indian and Sikh chefs. Meals here are reasonably priced, although you should note all the food on the menu is vegetarian.

Moeders

For a real slice of home cooking, head to Moeders. This eatery prides itself on its traditional dishes and the old-style decor in the restaurant on Rozengracht only enhances its appeal. For a bargain meal, choose the make-your-own three-course al a carte menu for €23 or €25 per person and select dishes that appeal to your palette.

Humphrey’s

If you want to treat yourself during your Amsterdam break, head to Humphrey’s for dinner – but don’t panic, dining in this high-quality establishment doesn’t have to break the bank. An al a carte three-course menu is available for €23.95 per person, so you can eat in style without having to worry about your wallet! There are two of the eateries in the city, one on Nieuwezijds Kolk and the other on Spui Street.

Has this sudden cold snap left you all packed up, ready for a holiday but nowhere to go? After one of the warmest Marchs on record April has got off to a chilly start and has left many of us dreaming of warmer climes. If you want to add some realness to these whimsical daydreams have a look at these three island destinations that are all bathed in sunshine right now.

Tenerife

The Canary Island of Tenerife is one of the best short-haul winter sun destinations from the UK making it a real favourite among sun-seeking Brits. The main draws to this volcanic island are its beaches, of which there are many formed of both golden and black volcanic sand and the fact that you can get year-round cheap holidays to Tenerife. The main beach resorts are Costa Adeje, Los Cristainos and Playa de las Americas to the south, whilst the capital and cultural gem Santa Cruz de Tenerife lies in the north. However, there is more to this Canary Isle than just the beach; Mount Tiede is the highest mountain in Spanish territory. This dormant volcano and surrounding national park looks more like a moonscape than anything from earth and it’s well worth visiting. On The Beach offer cheap holidays to Tenerife throughout the year enabling you to make the most of its favourable climate.

Tenerife by Sarah_Ackerman on flickr

Cape Verde

Cape Verde has been welcoming tourists for many years but its only in the last few that it’s really got its act together in terms of marketing. Now more and more people are discovering this African and Portuguese blend of and island, rich in culture, boasting a unique history and a climate that is almost too good to be true. The food is divine too and now that the tourism industry is beginning to boom new hotels, villa resorts and luxury retreats are springing up all over the main island of Sal.

Azores

The Portuguese islands of the Azores look more like the setting for Jurassic Park than a civilised former trading colony. This collection of nine luscious, fertile and dramatic islands is overrun with pirate legends, mystical history and covered with breathtaking beaches. More volcanic landscapes await you along with tumbling waterfalls, hidden rock pools and plenty of gold courses. Find out more on the Visit Azores website.

One of the great things about Turkey is that, if you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a relaxing summer holiday, it has plenty of places for you to do so. Its long coastline boasts plenty of beautiful beaches and bustling resorts; the question is, which one do you choose to visit?

When looking up holidays in Turkey, consider heading to the Turkish Riviera, as this part of the coast offers the chance to enjoy golden beaches, beautiful views and glorious sunshine. Here are three places to check out:

Antalya

This is one of the most well-known towns on the Turkish Riviera, which is likely to be due to its large size and wide-ranging amenities, meaning that everyone will find something they love to do here.

Of course, being situated on the Mediterranean Sea, there are ample opportunities to lie on the beach, soak up the sunshine and let your worries wash away. However, you can do this in most seaside locations, so what makes Antalya stand out?

Well, for a start it has a huge selection of shops, restaurants, water sports, night clubs and cafes, so you’ll never be bored here. Another great thing about Antalya – particularly for those looking to come away for a week or longer – is that you can easily access other coastal towns and ancient sites on daytrips from here. So, if you do get sick of the glorious sunshine and beautiful sea (which, I think, will be unlikely!) you can always venture further afield.

Belek

While being smaller in size, Belek is no less a great place to visit, especially if you or one of your travelling companions is a history buff. This is because there are plenty of historical sites located nearby that will give them lots to do during a holiday here, including the ancient amphitheatre that has survived for hundreds of years.

For a taste of authentic Turkish living, visit the town on Saturday, where you will be able to see the bazaar. The lively street markets will also give you a great opportunity to bag some bargains to bring home!

Kemer

Kemer could be another town on the Turkish Riviera you’re interested in visiting, and this is likely to be in part due to the fact that, during the summer, its temperatures reach as high as 35 degrees Celsius!

You don’t even have to travel to this area during the warmer months either, as winter doesn’t often see temperatures fall below 15 degrees Celsius, meaning you could enjoy your sunshine break at anytime throughout the year.

Kemer is a quiet, picturesque town, so if you want to find a different – perhaps more authentic – side to Turkey, this is a good place to visit. You’ll discover souvenir shops, boutique stores and local restaurants, serving up delicious (and plentiful) helpings of traditional dishes. If you fancy tasting something new, it is definitely worth visiting one of the more authentic establishments, although there are also international eateries if fussy kids can’t live without their chips for a day or two!

The beach here offers the chance to enjoy sunbathing in isolated coves and away from hectic tourist crowds, plus you’ll have the backdrop of the Taurus Mountains, which isn’t half bad, is it?

Want to be an international jet setter like the people from the Travel Channel? Then you’re going to have to deal with jet lag. Jet lag is when the body moves from one time zone to another, and therefore it thinks that it should be sleeping even when it’s a time where you would normally be awake. If you fly from New York to London, your body is going to be on New York time even though you’re during London waking hours. That’s just the way it works, right?

Well, sorta. You can get out of jet lag but you’re going to have to make sure that you have a plan. Here are a few tips to handle jet lag just the way that the pros take care of it.

First and foremost, you will want to make sure that you get enough sleep. We know that it might sound obvious to you, but that doesn’t mean that you’re getting good sleep. You will want to try to get as much rest as possible. Generally speaking, all of the last minute craziness of a trip is usually caused by not having everything planned out. So much sure that you really take as much time as you can to really plan things and get everything under control.

You also want to make sure that you eat healthy meals. It’s a given fact that if you don’t eat right, any lack of sleep is going to pull down at you. It can also make you much more susceptible to diseases because your body’s immune system gets suppressed. And there’s nothing fun about being sick on vacation!

When you get to your chosen destination, you want to make sure that you exercise as much as possible. Now is not the time to try to get out of your normal exercise routine. You’ll find that getting out to stretch your legs can really make you feel better about the world around you, even if you’re having to learn a new language on the fly!

If you need to take a day to get adjusted, there’s nothing in the world wrong with this at all. You might feel that it’s necessary to take that rest day to get settled in before you begin exploring. Take it with pride — that’s what the professionals do. They often bake this time into their filming schedule so that it looks more natural.

When all else fails, there’s nothing like natural sunlight to get you feeling like yourself again. Don’t be afraid to soak up the sun and chase the jet lag away — good luck!

It’s never too early to start thinking about holiday plans in the New Year, but you might not be too certain on where you actually want to go. If you ask us, there’s nothing wrong with the classics. And what could honestly be more classic than Paris?

This is definitely going to be a long guide, so you might want to settle in with a cup of coffee. Because when you think about a city that has nearly 12 million people calling it home, it goes without saying that there’s probably quite a bit to talk about.

First and foremost, you should understand that Paris is very large, and it’s divided into 20 districts called arrondissements. You need to make sure that you get plenty of maps to get around the city. However, even if you stayed in the 1st district of the city, you would still find plenty to do.

We recommend the 1st arrondissement as well as the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, and 11th. However, no matter where you go in Paris, there’s going to be plenty to see and do. Restaurants and small cafes are everywhere, and it’s pretty easy to get around.

Paris is going to be very nice in the summer, with warm temperatures to go around. However, the winters can be very cold, and that means that you need to make sure that you dress for the weather. The winter brings more rain than snow, which means that some people still like to go and check out the city anyway. The coldest that the winter gets is about 6 C / 43 F. That’s pretty mild if you live in Northern Europe or Scandinavia in any way. You have to make sure that you focus on the trip that you see in your mind, not the one that other people want to sell you on. So if you really want to see Paris in January, you will have to make it happen. Wintertime in Paris is an experience that we think that everyone should experience at least once or twice in order to get it out of their system. This is truly a city for lovers, for adventurers, and for anyone that truly believes in the arts being one of the highest of man’s pursuits as a whole.

Paris has three international airports to serve tourists. Charles de Gaulle International Airport, Orly International Airport, and Beauvais. Most people will end up flying into Charles de Gaulle, but it’s not unheard of to fly into the other airports.

There are plenty of trains, buses, and subway to get you around the city. You really don’t want to try to navigate Paris by car yourself, because it’s too easy to get lost. The streets were created before cars, which means that they are unwieldy and they make traffic very heavy. It’s a lot smarter to actually take your time with the public transportation system. You will find plenty of people that are willing to get you pointed in the right direction. Speaking a little French can really get you pointed in the right direction, especially if you really focus on being able to community properly. The French are very proud people, and they want to see tourists making the effort to get out of their comfort zone and learn their language. Even if you only know a few phrases, this still makes you look better than tourists that think everyone should speak their language.

If you stay in the tourist section of town, you’ll also find a lot of English spoken there. So it’s not like it’s the end of the world if you don’t manage to speak French.

Let’s talk about all of those lovely sights and sounds, shall we? You have to gift yourself with the Paris Museum Pass. This is a pre-paid entry card that will let you get into nearly 70 museums and monuments around Paris and the Palace of Versailles as well. It comes in 2-day, 4-day, and 6-day denominations, and these are consecutive days. You will also be able to jump long lines and get into places that would usually take forever to get into.

You can also get the ParisPass, which is another prepaid entry card that gets you to 60 other attractions like the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, and a river cruise. You also get free metro and public transport travel. There is also a combination pass that can let you get more transportation options in if that’s what you’re looking for.

You also have to see the Catacombs, the Notre Dame cathedral, along with the Opera Garnier and the Pantheon.

There are a lot of places to photograph in Paris, to the point where photography students are encouraged to visit Paris at least once or twice to get in some stunning photos. You will be able to practice your skills and look around at some serious architecture. Even if you’re not very good, there are places to really teach you how to become better.

Better Paris Photos is a place that gives you an instruction-oriented tour that will teach you more about photography and taking stunning photos. You will also be able to get feedback on your current photography skills. While this is somewhat expensive, a lot of tourists that have taken such a hands-on course have said that their photography skills have really improved because of it.

There are also tons and tons of movies to see when it comes to cinema. Paris has always been home to a lot of indie films, which are screened nearly every day.

There are plenty of fun things for children to do as well, at various museums and public galleries. Paris, like many European cities, is very child friendly and people will be friendly to your children as long they’re polite and respectful.

If you have always wanted to immerse yourself in learning French as a language, you have come to the right city. There are plenty of short study courses that you can take where you can learn better French and actually practice speaking the way real French people speak.

Working in Paris can be challenging unless you have an in-demand skill that the French employers really want. Make sure that you focus on actually talking to people that really know the market before you dive into living and working in France. There really are always jobs around, but you really want to make sure that you do your homework if you decide to cross this bridge and stay in Paris. You will need to also make sure that you have the right permits and visas before you even begin work. This can be exhausting at the start, but once you get it out of the way you’ll be able to enjoy Paris fully.

Paris is a shopper’s dream, because there’s very little that you won’t be able to find. Fashion is definitely the order of the day. You can find a lot of high end clothing, and there are even a few deals. Of course, luxury living is the order of the day as well, so you will find a lot of high end stores as well. Make sure that you don’t bust your travel budget!

If you want bargains, you will need to check out the flea markets. That’s where the days are pretty good.

Let’s talk about food. There are really three categories here — budget, mid-range, and splurge. Fine dining is not something that is always the norm in Paris. Yes, you will find great restaurants, but food in Paris is more focused on rustic, simple pleasures. Of course, the atmosphere of Paris is such that you can pretty much eat just about anywhere and feel like you’re already making great decisions.

You should always try to go where the locals eat, because that’s where you’re going to get the best service. You can also check out many of the food stands if you want something different, and there are also plenty of other cuisines from around the world to check out as well.

When you’re trying to figure out where to stay, make sure that you definitely look online for some good deals. If you plan to live in Paris for a short time, you really need to make sure that you rent a furnished apartment. This means that you will also be able to cook your own food and then you can just go to the market when you need fresh food. This can be a better experience than constantly dining out.

Overall, there’s plenty to see and do in Paris, no matter what type of budget you’re running on. Now is the time to check Paris out — have a great day!

Most people that are preparing to go on any holiday possible will need to pack everything that they need. The problem is that it is really common to forget some of the items that are going to be really important. That is why it is a good idea to create a travel packing list where you can write all the items that are going to be necessary. Unfortunately, most people have no idea what that list should includes. Let us think about how to create a travel packing list properly so that you are not going to forget anything.

The first step is to think about how long your trip is going to be. If you are going to go on a holiday for one month, the supply list will be different than what will be required for just one week. This basically means that your list should start with the type of luggage that you are going to take with you. In the event that the vacation is short, a simple suitcase with wheels might be enough. If you go to the mountain and you plan to do a lot of exploring, you will most likely need a backpack.

The next step is to think about clothes. You need to know exactly what you should bring with you and how many clothes to pack. Look for weather information for the destination and always pack accordingly. A bathing suit will be required if there is a chance that you will swim and when thinking about underwear and socks it is a very good idea to pack enough for around 7 travel days, no matter how long you plan to stay. This basically means that you won’t end up doing laundry often and you will not carry too much with you.

We now have to think about gadgets and electronics. In most cases people are going to want to pack a camera and there is a need to also add some spare batteries. Some will take the laptop with them. This allows them to add the pictures to the laptop and have free space on the camera at all times. The last thing on your list is a special area where you put personal items and toiletries that might be needed. This includes shaving creams, toothpaste and conditioner or anything else that you might require. If you follow all the tips mentioned above, you are going to have a good list for sure and you will not forget anything important.
